Flower pollen is the fine powder of various colors (from white, yellow, orange and purple to black) that plants produce for their pollination. The reproduction of 87% of flowering plants around the world depends on pollination, and these plants also provide 77% of all human food!

How it reaches us

Pollen-collecting bees gather pollen grains from the flowers, add a little nectar and place it in the honeycomb. The beekeeper collects the pollen with a pollen trap placed at the entrance of the hive. The pollen is frozen immediately at -18° C.

Pollen contains:

• Proteins (all the essential amino acids, in the ideal proportion)
• Sugars (but not calories; a heaped tablespoon contains 45 calories)
• Lipids
• Lecithin (important for fat metabolism)
• Macronutrients and trace elements
• Vitamins C, E, B/li>
• Flavonoids (excellent antioxidants and antimicrobials), among them rutin

• Enzymes
• Beneficial microorganisms (probiotics)
• P-coumaric acid (activates the body's detoxification system).
