About petimezi
Petimezi is must, the fresh juice of grapes, concentrated until it becomes a thick syrup.
It can be used wherever you want a sweet taste: with tahini, on loukoumades instead of honey, on ice cream, in moustokouloura and moustalevria, in salads and marinades.
You will find:
- Αχιλλαδέλης, Lemnos: petimezi made from fresh Muscat of Lemnos grapes in the traditional way, and stafylostagma: petimezi made without boiling, concentrated at a low temperature, which keeps the aromas of the grape.
- Οικογένεια Κοντογιάννη, Corinth: organic petimezi made from sultana grapes from the family's vineyards.
- Καλλιέργειες Δρίτσα: petimezi from ecological farming.
For moustalevria and moustokouloura, petimezi diluted with water can be used.
