Propolis has been known since the time of Hippocrates as one of the most important products of the bee. It is a resinous, sticky substance collected from specific trees, to which the bees add various ingredients (some of them still unknown!) so that it works as a protective shield for life inside the hive. A shield that is just as effective for us too.
